Pre-Order FAQ (Spring 2021)

Is there a chance that my plant will be ready for shipping before spring?

Yes, this can happen. We get our plants monthly, even through winter. However, in winter it becomes much more difficult and risky to ship plants due to the low temperatures. The plants also need more time to acclimate. We will try to find a suitable time window in which an express dispatch could take place, but we do not guarantee that we will be able to ship the plant earlier.

What if my pre-ordered plant does not arrive at all or is in poor condition?

First of all, we assume that you will get your plant as planned on the specified delivery date. If a plant does not arrive at all or is in poor condition, you can of course request a full refund of price. But you can also simply wait for the next delivery.

The following applies for spring pre-orders:

The sooner you order a plant, the more time it has to recover and grow! If you order your plant e.g. in November or December, it spends at least 3 months in our greenhouse under ideal conditions and you will most likely get a very beautiful plant in spring!

Is it possible that my plant is delivered later than the time specified in the shop?

Yes, this can happen. We always try to plan all pre-orders as well as possible and also allow enough regeneration time for the plants. Nevertheless, there can always be delays that are beyond our control, e.g. Delayed delivery by the supplier, non-delivery by the supplier or plants that arrive in poor condition. Please note that the specified delivery date is only an approximate indication that we naturally try to keep!

The following applies for spring pre-orders:

The sooner you order a plant, the more time we have to import your plant and maintain it for you. Therefore the possibility of getting the plant in the beggining of spring is higher.

How big are the plants? Are there any exmple pictures?

We have decided not to include pictures or more detailed information such as the number of leaves, or the size. The reason for this is that every person we show a picture subconsciously expects this plant, or at least a very similar one. Plants are naturally different. We don't get mass-produced greenhouse goods where all plants are standardized. Every plant is different.

In some deliveries we receive slightly larger, sometimes slightly smaller plants.

However, you can assume that you will get your plant in the adult stage (not juvenile) and in a beautiful, healthy condition. In general, we don't just send what arrives, but always look for the most beautiful items from the delivery. The not so beautiful specimens are staying with us and are getting the care they need to become pretty enough for shipment.

If the plant does not meet your expectations at all, we will definitely find a suitable solution for you.

Are the plants acclimatized?

We only ship our plants after they have acclimatized in our greenhouses for at least 4-6 weeks.

The sooner you order a plant, the more time we have to import your plant and take care of it for you!
